Seemingly invincible Melbourne live music hub The Tote truly is one of a kind. From its humble beginnings back in the early 80s to now, The Tote has proudly provided a platform for bands spanning the entire musical spectrum, and a venue for punters to let loose in the presence of some of their favourite musical acts.
After taking out the inaugural gong for ‘Best Music Venue (under 500 capacity)‘ at The Age Music Victoria Awards, we raised a beer with the crew and spoke about the venue’s colourful history.
