Charming indie/folk heartthrob Ben Wright Smith has a massive 2017 ahead of him. Like, really massive. As well as granting fans his debut LP The Great Divorce, the Melbourne local is set to tackle one his biggest tours to date in support of his brand new swag of mellow-rock creations.
After receiving the nod from the likes of triple J, listeners have already wrapped ears around the earlier released summer theme ‘Sand Grabber’ and equally as catchy ‘No-One’, with The Great Divorce containing plenty more melodically soothing offerings. The release, which was produced by Oscar Dawson of Holy Holy, brings with it a stack of hearty collaborations. Ali Barter, Tyler Millott (Husky, Ali Barter), Jesse Williams (Leah Senior, Girlatones) and Andrew Braidner (Stonefield, Ali Barter, Redcoats) all lend their expertise on the LP, assisting Wright Smith in the cultivation of one of this year’s best local albums.
Ben Wright Smith is now excitedly staring down the barrel of his biggest tour to date, featuring visits to a plethora of regional centres and major cities on his nationwide journey.
