If you like explosions and robots smashing things, you’re going to love Joss Whedon‘s superhero sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The new trailer for 2015’s most highly anticipated franchise addition appears to be a dark instalment in the franchise, as everyone’s favourite fighters join to overthrow a new villain, Ultron.
Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo reprise their roles as Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and The Hulk respectively, reuniting with Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to battle the city’s newest threat, metallically and menacingly voiced by the steely brilliant James Spader of Boston Legal and The Black List.
The new trailer – which has already been watched more than six million times on YouTube – sent fans into a tizzy when it dropped earlier this week, revealing slightly more information on the elusive Black Panther character and internal confrontations.
Five months from the film’s release date, the gloomy, eerie music scored trailer serves up more questions than answers: What’s Andy Serkis doing there? Who’s that woman in the cave? Why are Iron Man and Hulk fighting?
All will be revealed on May 1st…
