The Kooks have so far surprised the world with their new material. Their first single ‘Down’ was more hip hop inspired than ever before, and their follow up track ‘Around town’ has a gospel backdrop to it. The man behind their new album is up and coming hip hop producer Luke Prichard. Prichard has clearly made his mark on their new album, reshaping the Kooks distinctive style with new sounds and panache. Their new video is much more like a short film than a music clip. It is cinematic and dramatic. It was directed by Ryan Hope who in the past has made videos for 2 Chainz ft. Pharrell, London Grammer and Bombay Bicycle Club. It stars Christopher Fairbank (Alien 3, Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides, The Fifth Element) and Pom Klementieff (Oldboy, Loup, Delicacy).

The Kooks new album will be released on the 29th of August on Virgin/EMI.
The album can be pre-ordered on itunes and with an early order, fans will automatically receive ‘Down’ and ‘Bad Habit’ for free.
