Grouplove showcased their shifting styles when visiting the triple j studios for a like-a-version. They busted out an impromptu Johnny Cash impersonated ditty, changing up their own song ‘Ways to go’.
Lead female singer, Hannah Hooper, did such a brilliant job of mimicking Cash. If you close your eyes and just listen, she comes close to Cash’s distinctively deep drone.
Their take on Cage The Elephant’s ‘Spiderhead’ is a more stripped back version, somehow making it spooky and kind of seductive at the same time.
