Ethereal English band Florence + The Machine have released a stirring video for their latest single ‘St Jude‘.
Throughout the tear-jerker clip directed by Vincent Haycock – who has worked with everyone from Calvin Harris to Paul McCartney – flame haired front-woman Florence Welch does some serious soul searching for the “the patron saint of lost causes”.
We follow the lovelorn and drenched Welch as she wanders suburban ruins under a purple-stained stormy sky, on the verge of an emotional reunion with her beloved.
‘St Jude’ is the second video the indie-rock band have officially released of late, following on from the dark narrative-style short for their first single ‘What Kind Of Man’.
With two singles already out, anticipation for the forthcoming album How Big How Blue How Beautiful is high.
The album will be released via Island Records on May 29.
