The past week has been a celebration of NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee). What better way to honour all of the Indigenous achievements, which have been many and varied, then through song.

Songwriting and visual art have long been intrinsic to the Indigenous way of life, and Briggs, Gurrumul and their musical ‘posse’ respect and pay tribute to their land, their people, and their culture with music.

Inspired by Archie Roach’s song, ‘Took The Children Away’, this Like A Version was a modern and positive adaption, rejoicing in Indigenous triumphs and accomplishments.
