Princes Gardens in Prahran will once again host the annual VIVA Youth Festival on Saturday 9 April from 10am to 5pm. Organised by the City of Stonnington and the Soundslike Productions FReeZA program team, the free festival celebrates youth culture and the important contribution young people make to the community. The Festival will include a variety of activities and entertainment from skateboarding, basketball, street art, dance, DJs, food stalls plus a mechanical bull!

Activities/Entertainment Includes:

VIVA Prahran Skate Comp with heaps of prizes up for grabs; the King of the Court Basketball Comp with more than 20 teams competing for cash prizes in the biggest and most prestigious three-on-three basketball event Melbourne has to offer; a dedicated stage for dance performances and Beydance workshops; a rock climbing wall; Blender Bikes to whip up delicious, healthy smoothies; and face painting and hula hoop workshops with Donna Sparkles for the younger children.

There will also be a live art experience where leading street artists will facilitate a day-long street art project, so get down early to avoid missing out on what is guaranteed to be an incredible day of youth and street culture. VIVA is a drug, alcohol and smoke-free event.
