Time to go wild like a blister in the sun (sorry, couldn’t resist) – Violent Femmes are coming back to Australia for their biggest tour since 2005.

We know, they were here in 2016 for sold out national shows, but this tour is gonna be huge. You know how it’s usually only the major cities that have all the fun? Not this time. Violent Femmes will be hitting often-missed regional and suburban centres. And to wrap it all up, they’ll be headlining A Day On The Green with Hoodoo Gurus. We told you it was huge.

In equally awesome news, the group have invited indigenous father-daughter duo Rayella along for shows in NSW, NT, and QLD. Initially being exposed to indigenous music thanks to Yothu Yindi sharing the Big Day Out bill in 1992 (massive throw-back) Violent Femmes fell in love with the music. This led to the group becoming aware of Rayella last year, which made for an awesome team up for a jam session in Perth. We can’t wait for the two acts to share the stage on the upcoming 2017 tour.
