Melbourne’s songstress and multi-instrumentalist, Olivia Bartley, known as Olympia, has shared the intricate elements behind her up-coming debut album Self Talk.
“The title Self Talk is about observing the stories we tell ourselves,” Olivia says. “It’s also a nod to the religion of self help.”
She’s also offered another early release from the record ‘Smoke Signals’.
The soft focus psychedelic track is accompanied with an 80s Blondie-esque music video directed by creative genius, Alex Smith (Iggy Pop, Peaches and Coldplay).
Last year we were treated to three other album cuts ‘Tourists’, ‘Honey’, and ‘This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things’ and if they are anything to go by – this is going to be an exquisite release.
The album is out on April 29th and Olympia will bring it to live stages around the country in May.
