Mark Zito, or as we all know and love him, Fractures, has dropped a video for new single Fall Harder. In even better news, he’ll be hitting the road to celebrate his upcoming LP Still Here, out 10th February 2017. Zito is well and truly warmed up, just wrapping his support slot on tour with singer-songwriter Emma Louise. After opening for the likes of Daughter and Birds of Tokyo this year, selling out previous national headline shows, and killing it at BIGSOUND and Splendour in the Grass, tickets are sure to go fast.
Fall Harder is our second taste of Still Here, following the release of Alchemy in August. The new track was written and produced by Zito himself and mixed by Wayne Connolly of Boy & Bear and Paper Kites. Zito hilariously claims that the track was added to Triple J spot rotation, “despite my threatening letters, or perhaps because of.” The LP’s name is said to be a reference to a devastating neck injury as well as “nocturnal isolation” experienced whilst recording the album which left us wondering if he’d be able to continue with music. We’re surely not alone in being glad that Fractures is still here, and are super excited for the upcoming East Coast dates early next year. Tickets are on sale now at the following links, and in the words of Zito himself, “I’ve got an album to show you. Lend me your ears and your hearts(wallets).”
You can check out a stripped back performance of Fall Harder below, shot at Melbourne’s Sing Sing Studios. Or you can join over 11 million others (!!!) and stream Fractures on Spotify.
