Days Like This Music Festival is back in 2019, with a lineup that not only packs a punch but harbours a key message also. After receiving backlash in recent years due to the lack of gender diversity within their lineup, Days Like This Music Festival is moving towards the right direction in 2019, responding to punters requests for more equal representation in their lineups, and encompassing a more forward-thinking festival model in order for the industry as a whole to progress. Six epic local and international female artists will be headlining the Sydney 1 day festival this year. These women are absolute masters in their field, and no doubt are getting Sydney-siders all kinds of pumped for the upcoming event!

Here are the ladies of Days Like This 2019!

Avalon Emerson (USA)

Describing herself as a ‘triple Scorpio supernova‘, this US-based pocket rocket producer and DJ will cater to all those in favour of some techno flavour. Just take a look at her recent BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix as a reference of her undeniable flair – she will undoubtedly be one to keep an eye on in 2019 and a strong addition to the lineup.

CC:Disco! (AUS)

As Melbourne’s poster child for homegrown DJ talent, CC:Disco! is a huge presence in Days Like This lineup. With her own record label, CC:Editions, having launched in 2018, and having played headline sets at key Australian festivals such as Let Them Eat Cake and Beyond The Valley, CC:Disco!‘s elegant fusion of funk, soul, and (you guessed it) disco, will no doubt be well received at Days Like This 2019.

Cassette (AUS)

Sydney based Cassette will have a home ground advantage this Festival season. Having grown up in Sydney on a diet of breakbeat, acid, UK garage, and deep house, she seamlessly fuses all these sonic elements and more into her sets, making her a key contribution to the lineup, and a sure highlight for the day.

Kali (AUS)

Aussie based Kali is yet another artist who knows how to host a good time. The dancefloors she dominates always come packed to the brim with boogie-ready tunes. And whether her tunes sound as if plucked straight from a 70s disco, or are of a more modern deep-house environment, she’ll likely be the Days Like This afternoon peak. Bliss.

Made In Paris (AUS)

Made In Paris is arguably Australia’s most exciting up and comer. This Sydney based DJ and producer has already played alongside industry greats such as Marcel Dettmann and Stephan Bodzin, and she’ll likely incorporate some heavy techno classics, and her own original productions in her set.

tINI (DE)

tINI is a gargantuan addition to the Days Like This Lineup. The German-based DJ and producer has played some of the biggest stages in the world and has become a key name in the industry with her refined deep house sensibility, and her flair for mixing some of the best sets we’ve ever heard. Put this one down as your must-see set of the day. You won’t be disappointed.
