If the two new singles from the highly anticipated Langata album are anything to go by, 2019 is going to be a great year for Crooked Colours. The dreamy electronic dance trio have announced a nationwide tour of their sophomore album, kicking off after Groovin’ the Moo through regional towns Wayville, Maitland, Canberra, Bendigo, Townsville and Bunbury, headlining in Hobart, Fremantle, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sydney, and finally wrapping up at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne on May 25.
“We always play tracks stretching from our first ever release, ‘Come Down’, through our debut album Vera, and now we’ll also be showcasing brand new music from our forthcoming album Langata.” – Phillip Slabber of Crooked Colours
“We’re so excited about our upcoming headline shows – we get to curate the night, design the lighting and visuals, and play a full length set with music.” – Phillip Slabber of Crooked Colours
The album itself has been kept strictly under wraps, but expect Crooked Colours’ signature croony vocals, soulful melodies, and quirky, dance-ready beats. Their smooth, psychadelic sound captivated audiences around the world with the release of their 2017 album, Vera, which had hit singles picked up by international broadcasters like Radio 1, Eins Live, and Majestic Casual. Fresh from St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, the boys are ready to wow the fans back home once again.
