Adelaide artist Timberwolf has barely had a second to himself, following a year of extensive touring in 2014 supporting a multitude of established acts, and playing several music festivals around the country. However, he has found time to record his sophomore EP, Flux, due for release through iTunes on Friday, May 1st.

“Whiskey Jar’ is the third single to be lifted from the EP, and it demonstrates a different direction for the young Timberwolf. As he explains, ‘it’s one of my favourite songs off the EP. It was inspired by seduction, temptation and the trail of self-destruction that follows an emotional split. It’s quite swift and rocky in comparison to anything I’ve written in the past so it was nice to move in that direction.”

The raw emotion and energy translates well in ‘Whiskey Jar’ and culminates into a wailing, reverb-heavy guitar solo.
