The Pinheads have just announced a brand new video and a headline tour!
Playing their first ever show on Record Store Day in 2014, it was an experience that none of the mid-afternoon crowd in attendance will forget and has set the tone for the bands high energy, chaotic live shows that have followed.
The six, sometimes seven piece outfit from the northern suburbs of Wollongong spent most of 2014 writing tunes, recording in their shed in the bush and playing shows around Sydney and Wollongong with like-minded bands. By early 2015 they had inked a deal in blood with the Farmer & The Owl label and begun work on their debut ep.
Recorded entirely in the aforementioned shed, and mixed / mastered by Owen Penglis (Royal Headache, Straight Arrows, The Grates), the six track effort ‘I Wanna Be A Girl’ is set for release on September 25th via Farmer & The Owl/Inertia.
With both the title track and the latest single ‘If I Have To Wait’ melting ears & getting spins on stations such as Triple J and Fbi, as well as plenty of on-line support, the band are ready to expand beyond their home city. The Pinheads are proud to be announcing their first east coast tour and signing to Melbourne’s 123 Agency.
