The Koorie Night Market is on once again in Melbourne’s CBD this Saturday 13th February. A nomadic event that has taken place all over the state including Mildura, Bendigo and Mornington, it’s back to the heart of the city at Enterprize Park.

A celebration of Indigenous art and culture it offers an authentic cultural experience. You can expect live music and cultural performances, workshops in dance, didge, basket weaving, and heritage walks.

Better yet you cannot only experience and learn about the cultural history of the original custodians of the land but you can also purchase original artworks direct from the artist and sample indigenous cuisine.

Through the Koorie Night Market, the indigenous community is given the opportunity to rebuild their cultural heritage and reclaim their indigenous identity through traditional craft and cultural practices.

The organisers behind the Koorie Night Market respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional custodians of the land on which they are based.

This is a free event and is drug and alcohol-free.
