‘Taman Shud’ is the newest single from Melbourne garage rock group The Drones.

The name refers to the Taman Shud Case, an unsolved case of a murdered man discovered on a beach in South Australia in 1948. One of the world’s most baffling mysteries, the man was never identified, and ‘taman shud’ refers to a Persian phrase meaning ‘ended’ or ‘finished.’

A politically fuelled track, ‘Taman Shud’ protests “right wingers” who “rule the world uncontested.” The track is set to appear on the group’s seventh studio album, and features some aggressive sounding vocals, with vicious lyrics and jagged guitars.

Available digitally on iTunes from October 13th via TFS Records and MGM.
