Are you itching to hear the new wave of Australian musicians taking the music scene by storm? Then The Collective, a curated night of music from up and coming Aussie artists, is the place you need to be on Saturday 8th December at The Lansdowne in Sydney.
The Collective will be a celebration of the talented female and non-binary artists in Australia.
The line up includes Sydney duo CLEWS as a headliner, fresh from supporting acts the likes of Portugal the Man, Albert Hammond Jr and Holy Holy on tour. Joining them to round out the lineup is Totty and their unique brand of ‘shed rock’, The Buoys with their sharp, quick-witted songwriting, Spit Chewy straight off the back of their debut single ‘Grunge Is My Religion’, and the duo CRY CLUB, with their intensely personal yet post-punk style.
“We are so excited to be playing as part of The Collective and with so many amazing bands. As a band, we all agree how important it is to showcase and celebrate the huge amount of female/trans/non-binary talent in the music industry.” – The Buoys
The Collective is presented by 1-2 Entertainment, the same group who brought you successes such as A Weekend In The Garden Series and New Find.
“Equal opportunity is so important to us and it’s amazing to be involved in an event like this, as they are making it possible.” – Spit Chewy
It’s important for us as a country to not only nurture new talent in the Australian music scene but create a space for female and non-binary artists to thrive and succeed. By attending The Collective you’re helping shape a positive future where all artists are valued equally, regardless of gender. Make sure you book your tickets for this event to witness the future of Australian music!
