American experimental rock band Swans have been active ever since the 80s. Emeriging out of the New York ‘no wave’ scene around this time, Swans was formed by multi-instrumentalist Michael Gira who employed a changing line-up of musicians until their dissolution in 1997. In 2010, Gira reformed the band without original member Jarboe.

Swans now return with the release of their four track EP Oxygen, which is to be released on 24th November 2014. Featuring an edit of ‘Oxygen’ by Mute founder Daniel Miller, a live version from Primavera, an early version recorded at Gira’s home and an acoustic version recorded at StudioMute, the title track of the four-track EP is taken from their latest album, To Be Kind, out now via Create/Control Mute.
They have also announced a wave of sideshows coinciding with their Sugar Mountain appearance.

Oxygen is available to preorder now at Create/Control.

To Be Kind is out now on triple vinyl, double CD, download and a three-disc deluxe edition (including DVD) in Australia and New Zealand via Mute.
