Shows by Mitchell Butel, Tina C and Women of Soul are now set to feature in the Dodds Street Festival Hub, as part of SummerSalt Outdoor Arts Festival 2015, alongside art installations, as well as a free music program in Shine Bar.
Located on Dodds Street, the Festival Hub at the inaugural SummerSalt Outdoor Arts Festival is a drinking and dining destination, as well as the venue for an inspiring line up of ticketed and free events. Melbourne’s finest summer-inspired food will be on offer along with Matilda Bay beers and ciders amongst other beverages, at the Shine Bar, while all around the Festival buzzes with action.
Mitchell Butel premieres a new show of songs, backed by a three-piece band; Tina C., country-cabaret star, performs over two nights; and Women of Soul features Candice Monique, Lisa Faithfull (Soul Safari), Christina Arnold (The Perfections), May Johnston (Deep Street Soul), Chelsea Wilson and Rita Satch, backed by a six piece band made up of members from Cookin’ on 3 Burners, Deep Street Soul, and The Bamboos.
The Hub’s Slide Bar also features an exciting array of free performances throughout the Festival, including SPOD, Summer Flake, Sal Kimber Trio, Blondie Jazz Trio, Suzannah Espie, This Way North, Benny Walker and Brooke Russell.
