The Melbourne team behind Society of Tastemakers & Elegant People aka STEP are proud to announce they’ll be making their interstate debut for ‘The Sydney Edition’ as part of Vivid Ideas on June 3rd at GoodGod.

STEP events consist of a 40-minute moderated panel of expert guests followed by a live showcase performance. Past STEP panels have focused on young record labels, managers, music journalists, mavericks, the artists themselves and most recently an in-depth foray into what makes the Melbourne music scene so great. Speakers have included Woody McDonald (Meredith/Golden Plains), Nick O’Byrne (BIGSOUND/Courtney Barnett/Milwaukee Banks), Lorrae Mckenna (Remote Control), Jake Cleland (The Vine/Pitchfork), Simon Winkler (Triple R/Thump), Remi, Mikey Cahill (The Herald Sun), Andrei Eremin (Producer) and more.

The very first ever Sydney STEP panel ‘The Sydney Edition’ will feature some of Sydney’s biggest movers and shakers with the following guest speakers taking to the stage at GoodGod:

Stephen Goodhew (FBI)
Isabella Manfredi (The Preatures)
Vic Edirisinghe (Astral People & Plastic World)
Jimmy Sing (GoodGod)
Julia Wilson (Rice Is Nice)
Jacob Stone of Bluejuice will the take the microphone to no doubt entertain and the as moderator for the evening

Every STEP event also includes a live performance and taking to the stage in Sydney will be Marcus Whale (Collarbones & Black Vanilla) with a DJ set from Adi Toohey.
