Fresh of the plane from debuting at Sydney as a part of Vivid Ideas, Society of Tastemakers and Elegant People (STEP) have teamed up with LISTEN to present music discussion panel that has been requested by the public, ‘ Women in Australian Music.
On July 1 at The Toff in Town, STEP’s discussion panel will centre around a variety of topics including some of the challenges women face in the Australian music industry and how we can work together to encourage a new generation of female leaders.
Moderating the discussions will be Clare Bowditch who will be leading the panel with LISTEN cofounder and acclaimed musician Evelyn Morris; staff writer for Rookie and senior editor at The Good Copy, Brodie Lancaster; Melbourne musician and respected venue booker, Emily Ulman; music journalist and author of Cherry Bomb Jenny Valentish; and Helen Marcou of SLAM and coowner of Bakehouse Studios.
