Melbourne’s own indie-folk rockers Sleepy Dreamers will find any excuse to throw a party, so they jumped at the chance to use their fifth anniversary as a band to put on a gig. Five years, you say? That’s quite the hallmark achievement, so they will be celebrating the date at Fitzroy’s Workers Club on Friday 19th June.

Coming along for the ride will be alt-country folk five-piece Run Rabbit Run and genre-defying intellectual popsters Open Swimmer (solo show) as supports.

With frontman Ed Tripodi’s dry, unforgiving vocals, strong Aussie accent and a tight guitar-driven chorus as accompaniment from the other three members, Sleepy Dreamers are a testament to Melbourne’s rising folk scene.

Don’t miss this once-off show – it’s going to be a hell of a party.

Doors open at 8.30pm and tickets will be sold on the door for $8.
