The Red Bull Music Academy Weekender is making it’s way to the city of Sydney from the 8th till the 11th of September 2016. After holding successful events in Tokyo, Vienna, Warsaw and Stockholm, Sydney now plays host to showcase the annual all-inclusive cultural celebration of local talent. The event looks to take over the city of Sydney over four days with live performances, public artists lectures, club nights and art exhibitions. It is a celebration of local talent and unique minds and pushes these artists and collaborators to the forefront of the world stage.

Australia is being rewarded for playing its part in building the legacy of the Red Bull Music Academy by showcasing artists and collaborators such as Jamie xx, Thundercat, Four Tet and Nicholas Jaar. All incarnations of Red Bull Music Academy foster creativity in music, encouraging collaboration and expression at home and abroad.

The Red Bull Music Academy Festival in New York has recently announced it will be showcasing the likes of established artists such as Dizzee Rascal, Spike Lee, and Anohni, that will be accompanied by local artist and Academy alumni. There is no doubt the Red Bull Music Academy Weekender in Sydney will now doubt chase a similar feel to their line-up, collaborating established and well-known artists with up-and-coming local heroes.

Taking place over four days in many of Sydney’s most iconic venues, with a keen focus on the cities musical and cultural identity, it is a weekend that you will surely not want to miss.
