The Port Fairy Folk Music Festival is set to celebrate its 40th edition next year with over 100 acts across 20 venues, presenting 200 shows over 4 days from 11-14 March 2016.

Forty years ago the festival came to the town of Port Fairy, literally on the back of a truck as a freewheeling cultural freedom ride of sorts. In 2016, the festival will continue to support the community and celebrate along with the volunteers, music industry, artists, staff and a passionate audience who together make this a great festive gathering.  Expect a stellar bunch of local and international artists and if the first announcement is anything to go by Port Fairy Folk Music Festival 2016 might just be the biggest yet.
