Embrace the weird on NO ZU’s video for ‘Ui Yia Uia’.

Bathed in green and pink tones, the Melbourne heat beat eight-piece feature gongs, body builders and a taxidermy kangaroo in their new clip. If you don’t believe me, take a look above.

NU ZU set a slow groove on this one. An 80s-tinged, reverb heavy baseline drives their steamy sound, complete with sax solos and a spoken word section.

‘Ui Yia Uia’ is from NU ZU’s new album Afterlife, which is due for release early next year via Chapter Music. If you’d like to NU ZU werk it in action, you can catch them at the super mysterious WA festival Camp Doogs or at At First Sight in Sydney in the coming months.
