Following the announcement that Nina Las Vegas would be leaving Triple J to start her own record label, she has announced the first lot of artists signed to NLV Records.

Leading the pack for NLV Records is Melbourne authorities in house and garage Lewis Cancut, Swick, Air Max ’97, and Adelaide grime extraordinaire Strict Face.

Giving a taster of what is to come from the label is Lewis Cancut’s ‘Systems,’ which is available for free download for he next 7 days. A tropical cut, Lewis works with layering unique sounds that are high energy and made for a dancefloor.

Having become a champion for the new crop of Australian producers, MCs and DJs coming through, Nina will now provide a new platform for the artists to exhibit their music. Rather than playing their tracks on the radio and exposing them to her network via social media, she will focus on discovering and nurturing up and coming club talents from the beginning stages, and at the same time, celebrate the sounds of the Australian underground dance music scene. During her ten years at the radio station, she has helped kick-start the careers of Australian artists like Flume, Alison Wonderland, Flight Facilities, Wave Racer and Tkay Maidza.

On top of that, she has announces a series of international NLV shows scheduled to hit Europe and North America before the end of the year.
