Collaborating for the first time, The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and Mushroom are presenting NGV Summer Sundays – a free outdoor music festival every Sunday throughout February. In the gardens of NGV International, Mushroom’s born-and-raised Melbourne bands will be setting the stage, playing under tents amongst artwork with cult burger joint Huxtaburger and icy alcoholic beverages.
As for the bands and DJs taking the stage, expect to see sultry singer-songwriter Lanie Lane, indie folk group Husky, pop outfit Alpine and electro-dance group World’s End Press, country singer Melody Pool, lo-fi duo Slum Sociable, Brisbane indie four piece The Creases and Kagu (Sean Heathcliff, formerly of Snakadaktal), as well as sets from I Oh You DJs, Clubfeet DJs, British India DJs and other Mushroom DJs.
