The music industry’s biggest charity event Musica Copa is back for the third year running. The beloved 5-aside football tournament will see key industry businesses, decision-makers, artists and tastemakers come together for a unique feel-good fundraising event.
This year’s tournament will return to Marrickville’s KIKOFF Fraser Parksoccer centre on Friday 5Th February 2016 and kicking goals from 2-10pm. With the help of the events sponsors Jack Daniels, Red Bull Music Academy, Smirnoff and Void, the prize money has reached a whopping $14,000 for the top four finishing teams to win for their nominated charities.
While the industry heavyweights are sweating it out on Friday, Saturday will see KIKOFF Fraser Park opened up to the public for Musica Copa El Publico. Local 5-aside teams can enter for their chance to win cash monies and raise even more mulah for charity.
Participation keeps on rising for this feel-good day with twenty teams playing for this season, up from sixteen last year and twelve teams in 2013. Here are the teams playing for ultimate glory:
