Prepare your curious minds and experience Scienceworks like never before as Party Beyond, a late night dance and visual spectacular, takes over the museum. This adult’s only exploration of Sciencework’s newest exhibition – ‘Beyond Perception: Seeing the Unseen’ will feature a carefully curated line-up of live music in the museum’s foyer as well as access to the mind-bending exhibitions, food and drinks, stunning lighting displays and science talks.
Local act Pillow Pro will bring their lush, RnB influenced lounge beats to the foyer of the museum. Their smooth, seductive melodies will perfectly compliment the dreamy nature of the Beyond Perception exhibition.
Fellow Melbourne locals Biscotti lead by the highly talented producer and multi-instrumental Carla Ori, will be sure to get you dancing as the four piece take the stage. The band’s mix of synth pop, disco, funk elements and colourful cinematic imagery will transport you to another world.
There will also be a performance from special international guest and one-woman act Future Fosil, who will be bringing her ethereal, ambient, electronic sounds all the way from Chile. Her mix of reverb drenched, beat-heavy sounds will be sure to set the stage for an out-of-this-world experience. DJ Anton Motorik will also be on hand spinning indie, electro, pop and italo-disco hits between the sets.
In addition to the soundscapes proved by the live music, guests will have the opportunity to explore the Beyond Perception galleries. This new, permanent exhibition by Scienceworks was specifically developed by scientists and acoustic engineers for teenagers, and explores the invisible fields that surround us through immersive, large-scale experiences. Guests can dive into the amazing light projections and expansive interactive elements the exhibit provides late into the night.
