NIGHT DRIVE SHARES ‘DRONES’ EP WITH REMIXES FROM BIT FUNK, GLASNOST & CRYSTAL VISION [FREE DOWNLOAD] + OFFICIAL VIDEO
Earlier this month Brandon Duhon and Rodney Connell introduced their new project Night Drive with their debut single ‘Drones’ and an accompanying remix by Brooklyn synth disco producer Bit Funk. The track is pure auditory bliss – an infectious, high energy, electro pop track filled with moody synths and compelling vocal hooks. Bit Funk’s remix gives the track a smooth melodic and funky makeover that’s effortlessly cool.
Today the duo shares the remaining two remixes from Glasnost and Crystal Vision, as well as the official video for ‘Drones.’ The Glasnost remix is Brandon’s last salute to the project as he focuses his attention on Night Drive is the perfect final chapter for the elrocktronic band. The remix delivers on all fronts with heavy textures and dancing, arpeggiated synths that sounds something like a dark disco dream. Crystal Vision’s remix hits a little harder with its stabbing beat. Isolated piano chords and Rodney’s vocals unexpectedly build into a whirlwind of aggressive bass.
An official music video by Lobo Sucio Productions in association with Zilker Films is also out today via Blah Blah Blah Science and is a visual rollercoaster. It explores the dichotomy of movement and stillness as well as altered perceptions of reality.
Stay tuned for more from Night Drive as the two plan to release a five track EP later this summer. Until then turn your car stereo up and keep the headlights on.

About Night Drive:
Night Drive is the type of music you would hear on a car stereo if Giorgio Moroder and Ray Bradbury were driving late at night through a buzzing metropolis. Inspired by bygone era of glamour and excess, kalioscopic neon lights, Studio 54 and Tony Wilson’s Hacienda, the band pulls influence from acts such as Brian Eno, New Order, OMD, The Drums and LCD Soundsystem to name a few. Night Drive rides a nu-wave of fast-tempoed, synth-based electronic sounds driven by rich guitar melodies and arresting vocal hooks.
Although Rodney Connell and Brandon Duhon started as frontmen for two different bands, MoTel Aviv and Glasnost, their mutual respect and similar passions brought them together after their respective bands broke up. While supporting artists like Yelle, Digitalism and Neon Indian with their previous acts, Rodney and Brandon worked together on original music, visual concepts and screenplays alike. This creative collaboration left them with the collection of songs from which Night Drive was born.
The band releases their first single, Drones, on June 4th on Robot Dance Records with official remixes by Bit Funk, Crystal Vision and Glasnost.
