Since this time the band’s creative outlet hasn’t let up with the additional release of two critically acclaimed stand-alone singles in “It’s Easy” and “I’ll Meet You On Planet Z”. Lurch & Chief have now returned with their dynamic new single “We Are The Same”.

With a blend of styles ranging from ’60s garage-surf and ’90s influenced grunge to psychedelic jams and indie dance floor fillers, Lurch & Chief’s sound is effortlessly tied together by the duelling lead boy/girl vocals of Hayden Somerville and Lili Hall. The lead single off their forthcoming second EP “We Are The Same” continues the band’s relationship with renowned producer Lindsay Gravina (Stonefield, Violent Soho) and once again effortlessly unites Hall’s smouldering vocal with Somerville’s rip-roaring delivery, an undeniable combination which simply cannot be ignored.

With previous tracks garnering the support of community radio and national youth broadcaster triple j, Lurch & Chief were awarded the coveted spot on the 2012 “Harvest Festival” line-up via triple j Unearthed and have since spiked attention as a must-see live band through their own headline shows.

Lurch & Chief will be playing The Beresford Hotel in Sydney on Friday, June 21 and The Toff In Town in Melbourne on Saturday, June 22, with more touring to be announced following the release of their sophomore EP in August.
