The news will come as a relief to many Aussie fans who have taken to London Grammar’s social pages in force, demanding a local release ever since track “Hey Now” dotted its way onto the radar.
London Grammar is Hannah Reid, Dot Major and Dan Rothman who formed the band while at university together. After being holed up in the studio for the most of 2012 working on their debut album, the band dropped their first offering “Hey Now” via Soundcloud; receiving more than 900,000 plays online in only a couple of months.
Their EP “Metal & Dust” is the first official release from the London trio. The EP is a collection of cinematic, epic tracks that draw you in instantly with their unique and evocative sound.
London Grammar announce the release of their debut album If You Wait on September 6. What’s more, Australian fans have a slightly lesser wait than our UK/US counterparts, with the AUS release rolling out before anywhere else in the world.
Armed with two of this year’s most blogged about tracks (‘Hey Now‘ and ‘Wasting My Young Years‘, for those playing at home…), London Grammar’s 11-track debut album ‘If You Wait’ solidifies their place as one of the most exciting and innovative bands to emerge in 2013.
