A new year means Australia’s largest free festival is back. In its 62nd year the Moomba Festival has cemented itself as a one of Melbourne’s standout events, fusing culture and music on the banks of the Yarra River. Running from the 11th to the 14th of March, this years Moomba promises a good time for the millions who will be heading to the Birrarung Marr and Alexandra Gardens for the Labour Day long weekend.

As well as rides, food and lots activities, festival goers can expect some great live entertainment. Moomba’s main arena will be graced by the likes of Melbourne favourites Alpine, British India, Tim Rogers & The Bamboos. If you’re looking for more fun at 6pm tonight the Moomba Skate park is hosting the ‘Drop the Hammer’ Best Trick Skateboard Competition. For more information and full program details head here.
