Returning to the shores of Hobart, MONA FOMA (Museum of Old and New Art Festival of Music and Art) is bringing the four day festival MOFO 2015 back for it’s seventh year, more eclectic and dazzling than ever before. The summer event will be held between the 15th and 18th of January.

Curated by Brian Ritchie (Violent Femmes, The Break), the four-day festival ticket will have you bouncing off Tasmanian wharfs, halls, barns, centres and surprises in the overflowing abundance of art and music, including a few acts like New York post-punk rockers Swans, indie pop outfit Zammuto (with special pal Gotye), Dan Deacon and his hyper dance beats, Icelandic post-classical composer Ben Frost and Swedish black metal-heads Marduk.

If that wasn’t enough, MOFO is bringing a spectacular amount of art just within distance of the festival at MONA. See American artist Matthew Barney’s otherworldly exhibition River of Fundament and the opening of the Biennale of Moving Images (BIM2014), straight out of Switzerland’s own Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève.
