To the jubilance of many, legendary 80s punk stalwarts X are returning to stage next month, as well as bringing fans a brand new release to celebrate the reemergence.
Cutting their teeth during the 1980s at pub stages across the country, X have inspired a generation of Aussie musicians and left a thumping legacy in their wake –“The first three songs ever played by You Am I were co-written by this guy (Steve Lucas)” – Tim Rogers
Steve Lucas has cultivated a stellar lineup to join him on the tour, which includes the likes of Kim Volkman (Love Addicts) and Doug Falconer (Hunters and Collectors). The outfit will zig-zag across the country throughout July and early August to celebrate tracks spanning across the group’s career. The cherry on top to the news is the announcement of a very limited edition vinyl collectors release titled X-CITATIONS: BEST OF X. THE EARLY YEARS 1977-82.
