Overnight, Laura Marling‘s latest single ‘False Hope’ premiered as Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record in the World. ‘False Hope’ has been lifted off Marling‘s lastest album, Short Movie, out on March 20th through Caroline Music/Virgin Records.

‘False Hope’ is available now as a download with all album pre-orders and can be streamed on YouTube.

Short Movie is Marling’s fifth album in seven years and has come as the result of trying to base herself somewhere to reflect on the past eight years after realising she hadn’t been in the same place for longer than two weeks since the age of 16. The concious effort to change routine has given Short Movie a sound unlike her previous albums in that it is much bigger and more electric, as well as being freer and looser sounding than her previous work.
