TITLE, Australia’s largest independent music retailer, are offering independent artists a chance to get their music pressed to vinyl in celebration of  Record Store Day 2014.

‘Get Pressed’ is open to all independent musical artists or groups and offers the winner their music pressed on a 7″ vinyl EP, with two tracks and full colour artwork. The winner will receive 100 copies of the release, with additional copies available in TITLE stores nationally. The winner will also receive a Rega RP1 Turntable (worth $549) and a profile in The Music magazine.

TITLE will open its stores around the country on Record Store Day Saturday 19 April with increased trading hours to accommodate the popularity of the day. On Record Store Day you will find limited edition vinyl releases, available exclusively to independent retailers.

TITLE CEO, Steve Kulak says the promotion is an exciting opportunity to support an increasingly important day for independent music retailers:

“At the heart of Record Store Day are independent music retailers. So as Australia’s largest independent music retailer, we think it’s the perfect time to go a step further and promote local independent musicians – those who are at the heart of the quality releases which fill our stores. There is, I think, also a beautiful irony with this opportunity: the prevailing format of vinyl, which had all but gone extinct with the digital age, is now being used to showcase young and talented artists of the future.”
