Sydney’s Taronga Zoo will play host to a stellar lineup of local and international talent this summer.
Golden girl Courtney Barnett, who has just been nominated for some eight ARIA awards, will open the 2016 program. Joining her will be Josh Pyke, John Butler Trio, The Waifs, Birds of Tokyo and Missy Higgins, who will delight Sydneysiders in a special Valentine’s weekend performance. If that wasn’t enough, ABBA tribute band Björn Again are back by popular demand, with Violent Femmes, C.W. Stoneking and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
Marion Joyce, Twilight at Taronga Manager, says, “We are absolutely delighted to kick start Taronga’s centennial year with an epic Twilight lineup. We invite everybody to join in the celebration and grab the ferry, a hamper, a refreshing drink and enjoy the sunset and the amazing sounds of the 2016 series of Twilight at Taronga.”
Lock in a lovely summer evening, set to the picturesque 180-degree views of Sydney harbour. And better still, all proceeds go towards non-for-profit organization Taronga Conservation Society Australia, which supports wildlife conservation and sustainability.
