It’s a triple whammy today in Twerps news, with the Melbourne band revealing an Australian album launch tour, a UK/Europe tour and a brand new video for ‘Stranger’, a single off their latest much-loved album Range Anxiety.

But first thing’s first. The band has just premiered a super cute stop-motion video for ‘Stranger’, directed by the band’s new bassist Gus Lord on his iPhone. The video follows the story of a sweet little clay blob who wakes up one morning to his clay telephone ringing. After smoking his morning cigarette, he rides his scrubbing brush to the fry pan and meets up with his egg lover.

They kiss, and then meet a dark, bin juice-y fate. Poetic in its simplicity, it is basically the perfect video to accompany a Twerps song.

In other news, the Range Anxiety album launch will see the band playing in Brisbane, Sydney, two headline shows in Melbourne and one at the Melbourne Zoo (with Stephen Malkmus). They will also play the Golden Plains Festival in Meredith before embarking on a tour of the US in March, including dates at SXSW.

They will then be embarking on their first-ever tour of the UK/Europe, in which they will perform at Great Escape, Primavera, a festival on a beach in Italy (reportedly), and more. Full dates and ticket information below.
