Melbourne based Not-For-Profit project; Tram Sessions spend their time bringing the joy of live music to unsuspecting Melbourne commuters and now they have an app!
Created with the help of Proximiti, the Tram Sessions app creates playlists of live audio based on previous sessions from the tramline you are closest to.
Not only can you listen to artists, but you also have the option to read about them and that particular Tram Session blog entry.
Launched December 3 with the help of artists Tully On Tully, Georgia Fair, Jimmy Tait, I, a Man & Amista, The app can be found here!
Tram Sessions is endorsed by Yarra Trams and run by passionate music volunteers. The project gives artists the opportunity to engage with their fans in a way unique only to Melbourne.
Founded in 2010 by two Swedish live music junkies, over 70 artists have been along for the ride including Paul Kelly, Passenger, Xavier Rudd, Josh Pyke, The Smith Street Band, Vance Joy and Alpine.
With a fast growing waiting list of over 200 bands wanting to be a part of Tram Sessions, the project is looking at another huge year in 2014!
