Brighton East is playing surprise host to a member of hard rock royalty on February 27th with bassist Juan Alderete stepping into town as part of an EarthQuaker Devices Clinic. Alderete plays bass for both The Mars Volta and Deltron 3030, and will appear along with his signature board of EQD pedals for an hour and a half in the suburb’s World of Music store. The night will feature Alderete showcasing these pedals along with giveaways and more.
The clinic itself is free but spaces are limited, so to gain a spot you’ll have to book at shop@worldofmusic.com. At the same time, Alderete’s former Mars Volta bandmates Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala will be touring with their new group Antemasque, though seeing as the two will be playing Sydney at the time of the clinic, there’s little chance of a reunion.
