Only two weeks ago the indie rock group The 1975 were in Australia. They must have had a good time playing Splendour in the Grass and sideshows because they have just announced that they will be back for a tour in January. The four piece will play Melbourne’s Festival Hall, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and Brisbane’s Tivoli Theatre.

The 1975 band formed in Manchester, and have since toured extensively, playing over 400 shows in the last 18 months. Their fanbase has since grown substantially and they are said to put on a great live show. The band won MTVu ‘Breaking Woodie for Best Emerging Artist’ at this year’s SXSW and have since performed on Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Late Night with Seth Meyers.

The band has made big waves overseas, topping the charts in the UK as well as selling out every headline show to date.

Tickets to all shows are on sale Friday, August 22. To secure tickets before the general public, head to secret-sounds.com and sign up to the mailing list. Pre-sale via Secret Sounds kicks off Monday, August 18 at 9AM.
