Boiler Room TV and Red Bull Music Academy have partnered this year to present Chronicles — an underground, online program where some of Australia’s foremost acts take viewers on a journey through all of the influences that have come to shape their own original sound; between spaces, people, sounds and art.

The maiden episode of Chronicles will feature none other than Melbourne neo-soul extraordinaires Hiatus Kaiyote, who will film the session live from a secret location in their home city. The quartet will be joined by long-time collaborators Jace XL, Silentjay, Clever Austin (headed by HK’s drummer Perrin Moss), and New York’s Taylor McFerrin (son of Bobby). The acts will play amongst a set designed by local artist and musical collaborator Kirkis.

Chronicles will debut online tonight as of 9 pm. You can stream the first episode via boilerroom.tv/chronicles/. For now, you can watch the trailer below.
