What’s better than the Strawberry Fields 2018 lineup I hear you ask? Well, nothing, except the current lineup PLUS even more artists! The largest edition of the annual festival has just got EVEN bigger with the announcement of over 50 more local tastemakers and internationals to round out the lineup. These new additions join an already stacked bill and we here at Speaker TV are very excited for what’s to come!

Leading the new announcement of new artists is Melbourne’s first lady of soul, Miss Goldie (with DJ Manchild) who is set to bring the heaviest modern soul and disco cuts to the wildlands – no doubt this will be a wild time!

Also joining them is Melbourne musician, DJ and producer SIMONA who’s beat-driven and emotionally textured techno-pop expresses the borderline space between euphoria, desolation, and aggression – tied together by narratives of nonconformity, queer cities, gender, and relationships. Her performances are cardio-electronic percussive events of shared catharsis and self-confrontation; a one-woman industrial rave delivered through drums, smoke haze, and laser beams and will be a sure winner.

Also in the new second round of amazing artists is a new kid on the block, Inga Mauer.  Hailing from St. Petersburg, Russia where she is a resident DJ in the famous club (Stackenschneider), she will be serving up a mix of blistering atmospheres and dark emotions, flirting with a wide range of genres like Industrial Techno, EBM, and New Wave at Strawbs in 2018.

Snoop Dogg-approved Sydney beat maker MXXWLL will also join the stacked lineup. Hot off a killer remix of Snakehips’ and ZAYN’s “Cruel”, the Sydney based producer/remixer is fast becoming one of Australia’s brightest future funk prospects. Showcasing effortlessly chilled out, funk-infused synth-led hip-hop instrumentals designed to move and groove, this is one of many sets not to be missed.

Also on the bill is a loose dub theme vibe from Aussie producers Turner Street Sound – a duo made up of Rory McPike AKA Rings Around Saturn and Ryan Hunter AKA Midnight Tenderness.

In addition, Strawberry Fields will welcome a series of showcases and takeovers to the wildlands to amp up the party! First up Resident Advisor will be hosting a legendary Sunday session for the second year running. Community-based collective Foreign Brothers who produce and promote collaborations between creatives and give opportunities to young, diverse emerging artists, will also be a feature. Also a last notable showcase from local Melbourne act, The Rookies have been added to the bill.

There are many more amazing artists joining the already stellar lineup. Check out the full list of artists joining the bill below. Final Round tickets are on sale now, but they won’t last for long – get in quick!
