Fiddly dee potatoes, today is the day!
It’s March 17 – the one day in the calendar when we all colour the world green and say stupid things like “Kiss me I’m Irish” and “To be sure, to be sure”.
We dress up in funny hats and pretend to be leprechauns and drink Guinness on a scale that should never be consumed. Yup, that’s right. It’s St. Patrick’s Day!
In honour of this momentous, drunken day, we’ve compiled a list of Irish classics, from rousing pub-rock numbers, to ballads, all the way to the horrors of the IRA.
Artists include Sinead O’Connor, U2, The Cranberries and more!
For your listening pleasure, sung by artists who unlike us, are actually Irish.
Slancha!
Zombie – The Cranberries
Nothing Compares 2 U – Sinead O’Connor
Sunday Bloody Sunday – U2
A Fairytale Of New York – The Pogues
Dirty Old Town – Luke Kelly
The Fields Of Athenry – The Dubliners
