Something for Kate – Paul Dempsey, Clint Hyndman and Stephanie Ashworth – celebrate their 20th year with a huge 2014 July/August national tour.
On July 4, every Something For Kate album will become available on vinyl in a limited edition run for the first time. In addition, every album will be reissued in a deluxe CD edition including a bonus disc covering all B-sides relevant to each individual album. Most of these bonus tracks have been unavailable for years.
For the first time in their history, the band will play two sets each night of the tour. A short film by Callum Preston will open the show tracing the band’s history from 1994 to the current day, and the band will be available after each show to sign the book Paper Trail which will be on sale.
It all began back in 1994, when the young three-piece took to the stage of Melbourne’s Punters Club to play their first show. Now with over half a million albums sold, countless full-house tours and multiple awards to their name, SFK fans can celebrate their success. Something For Kate have achieved the rare feat of remaining relevant among two-decades of ever-changing styles, fashions, the death of the fax machines and the rise of social media.
Tickets for all shows go on sale at 9am local time on Friday April 11 from somethingforkate.com
