Melbourne collective Society of Tastemakers & Elegant People (STEP) will hold their third panel conference following the success of their first two; aiming to ‘provide knowledge and intelligent discourse on current practices within the music industry’, as well as showcasing local talent.

Whereas their previous panel discussion was called ‘The Critics’, this one is ‘The Managers’. The panel will feature the forward-thinking managers of some of Melbourne’s leading acts, as well as some similarly forward-thinking self-managed artists: Nick O’Byrne (Courtney Barnett and Milwaukee Banks), Jen Cloher (self-manager and founder of I Manage Music Music), Tom Fraser (Big Scary, #1 Dads, Airling), and Si Gould (Oscar Key Sung and Hiatus Kaiyote). The event will be moderated by Nick Clarke.

Performing will be local acts Lucianblomkamp and hip-hop artist Baro. ‘The Managers’ will be held at The Toff In Town on Wednesday September 24th. Early bird tickets are available for $10 here.
