Another day, another supergroup is formed in Brisbane.

A phonetic mixup of ‘Rolls Royce’, ‘Royston Vasie’ and ‘Bakery Roll’; Rolls Bayce consist of former Hungry Kids of Hungary frontman Dean McGrath, former Millions drummer James Wright, and a bassist who goes by the name of Neal Apel. Following an ‘organic’ year of playing shows, writing and recording (aka ‘band things’); the trio have announced the release of their first official single ‘Don’t Get Me Wrong’, as well as an residency at Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge and a Bigsound live showcase. Having already played several shows with some of Brisbane’s most prominent acts throughout their short existence, Rolls Bayce will bring their ’60s soul and obscure psych-rock’-inspired collection of work thus far to Black Bear Lodge every Saturday in August:

Saturday August 2nd – Blackbear Lodge, Brisbane

w/ Love Signs and DJ Black Amex

Saturday August 16th – Black Bear Lodge, Brisbane

w/ Born Joey Dead and Tincture (DJ set)

Saturday August 30th – Black Bear Lodge, Brisbane

w/ Blonde Tongues and Eves (DJ set)

Bigsound Live, Brisbane
