After successfully running a pop-up bar in Melbourne last year, Rolling Stone is bringing the Rolling Stone Live Lodge to the Newtown Social Club in 2015.

Located just around the corner from the magazine’s offices on King St, it will take over the band room for three entertainment-packed weeks between September 23rd and October 11th.

“It was awesome to be in Melbourne last year, but bringing the Live Lodge home to Newtown means we can bring a bit of love to the suburb that we work, eat and drink in. We’ve picked a schedule of entertainment that we think is top-notch, from well-known local acts to up and coming artists. Come and have a drink with us!” said Matt Coyte, Rolling Stone Editor-In-Chief.

Highlight events on the Live Lodge calendar this year include album launches from The Snowdroppers and Gay Paris. It will play host to performances from some of the country’s best new talent, such as Lurch & Chief, be the site of a trivia night hosted by Josh Pyke, host an evening featuring Hockey Dad and High-tails. Victorian rockers Stonefield and Perth songstress Abbe May will also debuting new material, and intimate shows from the Pierce Brothers and Ash Grunwald will feature too. And that’s just to name a few!
